The Battle of Erebria.

A Major Turning Point of Intruder Wing.

"Personal Log, Vice Admiral Amadeo. Today it all changed."

"It started off like the rest of the days we've been having lately. Ever since the New Imperium finally got involved, we've managed to push off
the Rebels and hold our own. The rest of the New Imperium forces that were dispatched were still chasing them out, piece by piece, hoping
to win this campain by attrition. As for the Intruder Wing Fleet, Dogger thought it wise to keep all of our forces at our homeword of Erebria
Prime, as it was offically the only system we still had. 'Let the New Imperium clean up the mess while we just make sure we don't let it get any worse.' he had said. Sauron had argued it, but Dogger felt strong about it and didn't see why the New Imperium would need anymore assistance, while the Intruder Wing needed to repair from it's losses.
A few were angry about this. Perhaps it would have been better had all our forces not been at one spot...perhaps. Kevin said it was inevitable,
and I tend to agree with him. From there it began..."

Eucilid entered the war room, a place Vykk had finally gotten around to finishing, just in time for the whole campain. It hadn't helped much. Eucilid noticed that only Kevin was in the room, watching, starring at the current movements of the Rebel fleets. Euc walked up to him. "Where's
Dogger and Vykk?" he asked. Kevin's head didn't move. "Vykk is looking into some matters I asked about, Dogger is asleep and shouldn't be up for another 6 but I suspect we'll seem him about here sooner than that." Euc  took another glance at Kevin. It was obvious the man hadn't slept in
days. "You could use some sleep yourself." Kevin shook his head.    "Something just...isn't right with it." Euc took a look at the maps and
charts. It appeared that the New Imperium was winning quite well, in fact they had started a counter-strike into other Rebel sectors nearby.
"Things are going rather well, I don't see the problem." Kevin didn't    move; it was like Euc hadn't said a word. Finally he spoke. "They're
doing too well...look, here, this sector. I remember this sector, we  launched a attack against it 1 year ago...it failed, they had heavy  defenses." Euc didn't see the point. "That dosen't mean anything, after all a year is a rather long time, ships could have moved, platforms-"
Kevin stood up immedietly, like he had just relized something. "No, no, you don't see. We found out it was a stagging platform. The ones around
here always have a minimum of 2 Cruisers at one time, minimum." Kevin pressed a few buttons and loaded up the report. "There wasn't a one in
this New Imperium raid." Kevin quickly began loading up more reports of there targets they knew as potential stagging areas. Not a one of them had the correct amount of ships, that they could tell. "What does all of this mean?" Euc asked. Kevin ran over to the alarm that would put the entire ship at red alert. "It means that they're not stagging anymore." Kevin replied. "They're headed somewhere, and I'll bet you a great deal it's
for here."

On the Command Deck of the SSD Revive, Republic Admiral Consor watched and waitied. A SSD in the hands of the Republic...if not for the support of the Outer Rim Admirals and a few deals with people such as General Bel-Iblis it would have never been possible. Forgotten Imperial shipping yards with half-done ships was just too good to waste, and fortunetly some in the military had relized that. Some. Because of their "offical" orders they had been force to canbalize the mid-construction ships they had found until they could build one. Never could there be another, unless the Republic would use the plans to help build one, and the Republic Admiral knew better than to think that. No matter. Soon, very soon one of the more annoying remainits of the Republic would fall, and after that many, many more, at the hands of this SSD and it's glorious
Strike Fleet...

Dogger was in the war room almost immedietly and was not surprised to see many a people shuffling around, all with a diffrent agenda or ship
to contact or whatnot. Kevin was trying to organize it all and was on the link with the COM of the Illustrious, Col Argon Viper. "I don't
care what the 'chain of command' is, we need that ship on the far side of the planet if we're going to have any ability to attack there." Viper
shook his head. "No offense sir, but I can't follow the order. How do I know that-" "Do as he says." Dogger interrupted. Kevin turned around
and gave out a sigh of relief. "Oh..of course sir." the Colonel  responded. "Oh and in the future, listen to Kevin, regardless." Argon Viper sighed and his image soon faded. "You know if we live through this you're going to have to do something about that." Dogger shook his head.
"Now is not the time to worry about promotions or positions, now what's our status." Kevin pointed up to a globe that showed the planet Erebria
and the forces surrounding it. "We have reason to believe that a Rebel strike fleet is on it's way over here. I've tried to assemble the fleet
to cover the ships around Erebria Prime. Our strongest points are here, with the Darkstar in the front of the planet and the Illustrious at
the back. Though I suspect the enemy to come in at the front, I don't want to take any chances. As for the rest of the planet, I've spread out
the remaining ships pretty evenly, though I've opted to keep the MC-60s close to the Darkstar and the VSDs close to the Illustrious. I don't
see the Rebels attacking from the other points in the planet, we'd be able to detect it much sooner due to the placement of our nav bouys and
probes, and I'm talking the ones they know about." Dogger looked at the map, taking it all in. "What about the ones they don't?" Kevin gave a
smirk. "These days, I don't think we have anymore of that type." Dogger continued to stare at the globe. "Can you make a guess of where they'll
show up." Kevin nodded. "Counting the ships we know will be here, and considering the strategy I would use if I was the Rebels, it should look
something like.....this." The globe changed to represent Rebel ships as well. If Kevin was right...this would not be good. Not in the least.
The main attack force would be sending about 4 Calamari Cruisers directly at us, with a collection of M/FRGs, a Interdictor, and a few Strike
Cruisers. As for the secondary force, it appered Kevin had guessed that they'd throw two of their Star Destroyers in there with smaller Frigate
escorts, hoping to mearly keep them busy while the main force gets clobbered. "It's big alright." Kevin commented. "And it'll cost them much
considering how much the New Imperium is having a field day out there. It can still be beaten though." Dogger sighed. "Not by outright force
though. We'll have to force it to retreat." "I agree." Kevin said. "Our best bet is to concentrate on the main forces and try to keep the
Darkstar out of engading all four cruisers at one time. As for the many escort ships, we're just going to have to trust our Supplement and
Anti-Attack ships." Dogger looked at the placement of the Supplementry ships in the main front. "We're going to lose a lot of those. It wouldn't
be a bad idea to send some of them to another one of our outposts if they're too beat up to do any good. Any place we can send them?" Kevin
pressed a few buttons. "I've been trying to upload these coordinates for our newly refurbished...again...platform Victory, but it'll be another-"
Kevin's words were cut short as he saw ships begining to enter. "I need to get at my post, Good Luck." With that Kevin ran out and Dogger began to watch the battle from the globe, prepared to order the fleet.

"Welcome to the bridge sir, we currently are only reading 2 Imperial Star Destoyers and they're heading for us. Orders?" Kevin looked
at the viewport. A diversion, or a bluff, or something he was sure. This wasn't it. "Launch all squadrons, but have them patrol around the ship
and do not attack the Star Destroyers."

Major Hippie was soon launched out of the MC-120 into the quietness of space. That is, what was quiet a few minutes ago. Hippie could see
two Star Destoryers, but the makeshift briefing they had been given suggest more, much more. Soon his starfighter was telling him that
the Star Destroyer was launching ships. "Looks like the Destroyer is launching some shuttles, on a escape vector." Hippie thought about it for
a minute. "Alright, I'll go check it out, the rest of you stay here, except you Deepthroat, follow up behind me and let's head in." Hippie
and Deepthroat began on a course to put them against the shuttles. As they were nearing in, however, Hippie noticed that the shuttles weren't
manuevering, weren't turning. It was almost like there was no one in there. A thought suddenly occured to Hippie. "Pull off, immedietly, NOW!"
Hippie pulled off just as 4 Modified Frigates came flying in, guns firing, along with squadrons of E-Wings and A-Wings. Deepthroat wasn't
so lucky and got fired down almost immedietly.

"Sir, we now have 4 Frigates entering the battle, orders?" Kevin looked at the ships now here. E-Wings and A-Wings. Not bombers. "All ships are to continue patrol around the Darkstar." The tech was confused. "But sir, shouldn't we at least send some ships to intercept them and slow them down?" Kevin shook his head. "That's what they want us to do. They're attacking in waves to split us up and make us easier to kill and I won't have it!"

"It appears as if the Imperials are not falling for our wave strategy. Orders?" Admiral Consor looked at his globe of the battle. "Put all ships
except this one in the next wave, targeted towards their secondary defense. That should get them moving."

Dogger looked at the warroom's globe and watched as four new Calamari Cruisers entered the area, directed towards the secondary defenses of
Erebria. Not to mention several Carrack Cruisers and a couple of Frigates to boot. "MC-60s Traktion and Triumphant and Frigates Ka'Tal,
Nexus and Lord Gita, assist the secondary forces." Dogger ordered. Kevin, to no surprise of Dogger, was soon on the com system. "Dog, I hate to protest orders and everything, but you can't do that, it'll weaken our defenses if something big should come in." Dog shook his head. "They've
already figured out we know their strategy so they sent all the ships in, this is all we have to worry about Kevin." Kevin paused. "Unless they
want us to know that they know...which means we have something big  coming and I'll need those ships!" Dogger sighed. "Don't be so paranoid
Kevin, the battle will be there."

Commander Smasher had seen many, many things. But nothing could have prepared him for what soon came. The fighters had arrived near the
Darkstar and dogfights were now beginning everywhere. Smash got right in front of a E-Wing and was about to fire at it when he saw it. It
instantley sent a chill down his spine and took him a few seconds to recover. It was a Super Star Destroyer, with Republic Markings. And
it was right on top of them.

"Damnit Dogger I told you!" Kevin yelled out, angry. Why is it that military geniuses always think they're right...Kevin decided to shrug
it off. "What's our status?" The tech was somehwat startled, but looked at his screen. "The SSD is blocking our signals, most of them. It
dosen't look too great, we lost a few ships when the SSD hypered in, they must have smashed against the side of it." Kevin went to his COM system.
"This is Admiral Kevin to all Darkstar fighters, concentrate fire on the Super Star Destroyer, I repeat concentrate fire on the Super Star
Destroyer." Kevin sighed. He was sending them on a suicide mission, he knew. But it was his only choice. Kevin pressed a few more buttons to
get ahold of Dogger.

Euc and Mac, along with the rest of the Command Staff minus Dogger and Vykk were soon facing rows of ships. "Our forces are getting hurt badely out there, and if a few more ships will change the tide, then let's make sure those are our ships. Soon the CSers were in the ships and
flying out to join their comrades.

Dogger was furiously trying to think of his next move when Kevin got on the line. "I'll save the I told you sos for later, for now I need some
ships over here, most of our defenses are just fighters and other midcapitial ships, and most of those are getting kicked round by their
other big ships." Dogger sighed. "If I remove any of the ships from one side, the other will have no chance of survial." Before Dogger could make his choice, Col Argon Viper was on the comm system.

"...I repeat, the Illustrious has lost steering control. Unless we can get ships over here to repair and assit us, we will have to abandon
ship..." Dogger was soon on the line. "Colonel, abaodon ship, we cannot help you." Argon Viper was obviously ready to protest. "But sir, if
the Illustrious continues on it's current course it'll hit Erebria and take out a good deal of our resources on that planet." Dogger sighed.
"I know. I've already initiated the evacuation order there.

From the planetside, many transports were launched up into space. Not a single one would pass the SSD and it's fleet. It wouldn't have mattered
because shortely after the ISD Illustrious smashed into the planet, destroying almost all factories and resources.

"As for the rest of the ships of the secondary fleet, get over here and assist the primary fleet." Dog finished the message and looked at Kevin,
who was still on the comm system. "They still have 2 Cruisers over there, you know this will put us on two fronts." Kevin shook his head. "Well,
if we don't then we'll have no fronts."

Kevin looked at the situation. The Star Destroyers had been finished off, both of them. The Frigates were regrouping with Frigates from the force
sent to attack the secondary fleet. But the SSD, the SSD was still there and soon the Frigates would be back and so would those Calamari Cruisers.

Fardreamer pulled another attack run on the SSD, quickly doging the turbolasers and firing. It wasn't doing much good, but it was buying
the Darkstar time. Fardreamer went to pull up for another pass when he saw a Star Destoryer right in front of him on top of the SSD. There
was no time to turn as his fighter smashed right into the Star Destoryer.

"New Star Destroyer!" the tech shouted. Kevin shook his head. A extra Star Destroyer, just to keep along in case they wanted to set the odds.
"Move the 2 MC-60s into position to attack." The tech made a small noise, then looked up at Kevin. "There are no MC-60s left." Kevin managed to hide the surprise in his face and then loaded up the globe. This time he could not hide it. There was barely anything left. The SSD was killing
them off, slowly but surely, killing them off. Kevin got Dogger on the comm system. "You know what we have to do now, don't you." Kevin said.
Dogger nodded, sadely. "All forces...retreat, I repeat, retreat."

Kevin walked over to two men. "You know what you have to do. Now do it." The two men nodded and left the bridge. Kevin looked out at the viewport. How he had loved the sight of this viewport...now he would never be seeing it again. "Lieutenat Colonel Foxton...give me ramming speed."
The tech flinched at first, but then nodded. "Aye sir!"

Two men came into the warroom. Dogger didn't reconize them, but was quickly on his feet when one of them lifted a blaster and shot at him.
Before Dog went down he could tell it was a stun blast.

The Darkstar was still continuing on it's course for the SSD. The SSD wouldn't notice it until it was too late. It'd cut through it and would
explode as it did, destroying them both. One of the men Kevin had hired to get Dogger off the ship walked in. "What's wrong?" Kevin asked. The
man lifted up his blaster. "Secondary Orders." Kevin should have known better then to leave his lightsaber in his quarters...

As the forces of the Intruder Wing retreated, the MC-120 Darkstar rammed into the bottom of the SSD Revive, tearing the two ships apart. The SSD soon split into two parts and the MC-120 Darkstar, already cut in half, flung off into the other side, destroying both of the pieces. The last
part of the SSD soon exploded in vaccum. There wasn't even rubble left of the Darkstar.

Dogger came to first, and got Kevin up as soon as he saw him lying there. "Kevin! What happened?" Kevin was still a little out of it, but soon
came to. "I hired two guys to get you off the ship in the event of something like this. But...one of them turned against me, and mentioned
something about 'secondary orders'. You know anything about this?" Dogger shook his head. "I would have prefered you had not done that,
however I'm guessing that since you did, you rammed the Darkstar into that SSD." Kevin nodded. "We didn't have a choice, we couldn't win but
we couldn't let the Republic have that SSD, or else other Imperial factions would suffer the same fate as us." Dogger nodded. "So, where
are we heading?" Kevin looked over the controls. "It appears we're in a shuttle heading for our own staging area, the Platform Victory, located
deep in the Unknown Regions. It'll be a starting place for..." "For what?" Dogger quickly interrupted. "Not to be cynical or anything, but our
entire fleet was pretty much obliterated at the battle." Kevin shook his head. "I think we'll have survivors, and I do have a little surprise
for you..." Dogger looked puzzled. "Surprise?"

As the transport left hyperspace a platform could soon be seen. Surronding it were a strike cruiser, a carrack cruiser, a few corvettes,
and a brand new MC-80.

"You're looking at the MC-80 Intruder. Me and Vykk have been working on this thing since I got back, adding tech as we went along. We didn't
get to finish as much as we'd like, but we should have 4 other prototypes to modify and fix."

"Unfortunetly it's now one of a kind" Vykk said, onboard the PLT Victory. "The strike fleet found us and came back and cleaned it up. All that work, down the drain. Ah well, at least we have this one." Kevin shook his head. Dogger just nodded and had Kevin follow him into the confrence
room.

"Things are going to have to change around here now because of our current status." Dogger began. The room was filled with the CSers and
a few others. "So we've decided to shut down most of the Command Staff, we won't need it and you'll be doing us more favors in fighters instead
of desks." Kevin started to pace the room and took up where Dogger left off. "Myself and Ammy have written up this new change of structure. From this point forward, the FC will also be the COM of our main ship, which is currently the MC-80 Intruder. The COM will have a First Mate of more significant importance then this position has been given in the past.
That position will be given to me." Kevin continued to explain the positions and who got them. There were a few disapointments, but most
of the CSers were happy to be back in the saddle again. "The Intruder Wing will go on." Kevin said, with a air of confidence. "It will go on."

2 Weeks Later

The Intruder Wing had restructured to a point where it could begin moving out again, attacking the Republic that had put them in such disarray.
But it would not be the same, for one of them would be leaving. The one who had lead them out of the Emperor's Hammer and into greatness,
Sector Admiral Dogger, would soon be leaving. Kevin understood, he understood only too well. Dogger had told him that he had wasted too
much time, and had many things to take care of, a lifetime's worth. Kevin knew what those things were and could understand them only to
well. Eucilid interrupted Kevin's thoughts when he entered the room. "Come on and hurry up, they're all waiting and Dogger's itching to get
out of here." Kevin smirked. "You want him to stay just as much as I do." Euc nodded. "True, very true, but it's time to be moving on. Come on,
we're waiting." Euc left and Kevin followed suit.

"Admiral Kevin, as my last action of Fleet Commander, I am promoting you to the rank of Sector Admiral. As of now, the fleet is under your
command." Kevin could hear the cheers and couldn't help but smile. Kevin saluted Dogger for the last time. Dogger's leaving was filled
with sadness, but there was still hope for a great future, a future Kevin would do his best to do.

THE END

Sector Admiral Kevin
