Hippie stands at 6 foot 6 inches, with a very muscular physique. He has warm blue eyes and dark blond hair, cut short but usually stroked back. He always wears some form of Intruder Wing uniform, proud to be wearing his IW insignia. He is very loyal to the IW but will speak up about things he doesn't agree with.

He was found adrift in the unknown territories floating in space aboard an Imperial Research Ship. There was no one alive aboard the ship not even droids, save one, a human male. The ships main computers had all been destroyed, bits of droids were found throughout the ship and all had their memories obliterated. All holo-chameras were also destroyed. There was an obvious sign of a battle aboard the ship. Entire squads of Stormtroopers lay in mangled heaps behind massive fortifications. Scientists and Officers lay dead and unrecognisable. But in the centre of the ship, there was a very high security cell that had been layed to waste. And in the middle of the cell lay a man in patient garbs with blaster holes and knife cuts all through it. But no cuts or burns on the body of the man.

He was taken aboard the Darkstar and put into a huge 'air-lock' that had been made into an infirmary of sorts until he woke. When he woke he had no knowledge of anything prier to waking up aboard the Darkstar. Once he was no longer classed as a possible threat to the crew he was aloud to talk with others. He had gotten to know a lot of the crew and always put a stop to arguments and fights that occurred, he was later called a damn 'Hippie' by an off-duty Stormtrooper after he easily hauled him off a pilot. He was usually referred to, from then on, as Hippie. He had no problems with it, so it stuck. Hippie got to know Macintosh, commander of the infamous Lightning Squadron at the time. He decided to try Hippie out in a flight sim. Hippie aced the flight sims in a variety of different craft. Macintosh then petitioned him to become a member of the Intruder Wing pilots Corp. Hippie agreed straight away, not wanting to leave his newfound friends. He was then put in Lightning Squadron as an Ensign, under the leadership of Macintosh himself.

During his time with the IW, Hippie found he had a natural apt with all weapons made available to him, he was a crack shot with any projectile weapon he used, an expert knife and swordsman, he also found he had abnormally good stamina, strength and speed. He also had amazing senses. He was a master hand-to-hand combatant, it was during one of these hand-to-hand sparing matches with a very heavily built opponent Hippie was tackled into a rack of knifes used for practicing. One such knife was thrust into his back, below his shoulder. The man he was sparing with quickly called an emergency medical unit but knowing this wound was probably fatal, tried to comfort him in what would probably his last minutes. About 4 minutes into the long wait, the sparing partner pulled the knife from his back.
