Submission Guidelines

All submissions to the Intruder Wing Fiction Site will be accepted.

I want your stories!
However, we are a Star Wars fanfiction web site, meaning that we will only accept items in that genre. However we do accept crossovers with other genre’s (Example Alien Vs Predator: Star Wars by Lieutenant Serbitar (ret.) are fine because they contain Intruder Wing) It must be a work of fiction dealing with the Star Wars universe at least.

Squadron Persepctive’s and/or personal perspectives are welcome at any point in time (eg Battle of Erebria Lightning Sqadron Fiction)

I would also like to ask that you proofread, & spell check before it gets sent to us.

I do no editing on your works. All work will be posted exactly as you send it to us. So make sure your work is looking its best! To change your work without telling you is illegal therefore I wont do it, updates of fictions are always welcome.

Here are the steps that you have to follow for uploading:
1. Make sure to proof read your stories. I will post your story exactly as it is submitted to me. I will make no changes. Therefore make sure that your story is exactly the way you want it before sending it to us. Make sure your story is complete. I will not post stories that are incomplete unless they have a work in progress disclaimer OR you submit a Prologue.
2. Please submit your story as a file attachment unless your email server does not provide for this.

They can be written in Word '97 or lower, Word Perfect, Microsoft Works, or html. If you do not have any of those or are unsure of what your program is, you can submit it in plain text.

All stories will be posted in html.

To submit a story for linking from your website:
1. Your story must be on your website. If your story is on another person's website I will not link to the story unless permission is given by the owner of the website. I require a direct email from the website owner.
2. I prefer to link directly to your story whenever possible.
3. Send an email to mark_howman@dwp.net or capt_master@hotmail.com put the story's title in the subject area.
4. In the body of the email include the following information.

5. Please have a disclaimer on the story page. We do not claim any responsibility for stories that are not directly on our site.
Header Notes:
1. Title: This is self explanatory please give your story a title.
2. Author: ID Line
3. Email address: This is important.
4. Status. This is new due to user feedback. Users like to know if a story is finished or not. Therefore, a work in progress label is essential for any incomplete story, letting the reader know the status of the story. Please write complete or incomplete with a part number, the part number helps us to keep track when you update your story.
5. Category:
There are several categories your story can fall into, some include:

Romance
Angst
Drama
Action-Adventure
Crossover (please note with what)
Humor
etc.
6. Where In Timeline: Say where the Fiction goes into the Intruder Wing timeline to help understand when things are happening.
7. Ratings:
I have come up with a uniform ratings policy:

· G- suitable for anyone, especially children, no swear words, limited violence.

· PG-13 Mild Language, Some violence.

· M-15+ Much like the movie rating, contains language and/or violence unsuitable for people under 15, but not so much as to receive a R rating. This is also equivalent to the TV 14 rating in the United States.

· R- Violence, harsh language and sexual situations. In other words, if it's more violent, the language is harsher and the sexual situations are more than in your average episode.

· NC-17: graphic violence and/or sex.

Note: Please be honest with your content ratings. Our host has guidelines about adult material and we must follow these guidelines.
9. Content Warnings:
These are used to clarify M-15+, R, and NC-17 ratings for example:

Fall From Grace M-15+

Warnings: Violence, language

Other warnings may include: rape, death, and strong or graphic sexual content (you get the picture)

Rape, character death (you don't need to name the character), and very mature themes must always carry a warning even if they are not graphic.
10. Summary: Include a summary of your story. It can be vague (don't give away the ending!). But this will help people identify your story, especially if there is more than one story with your title. It should also be brief. One or two sentences would do nicely.
11. A Disclaimer must be put on all stories notifying the reader that no money has been accepted for this story and that it is not in violation of any copyright laws. If you do not place a disclaimer on your story, we reserve the right to put a standard disclaimer on the story.

An example of a disclaimer would be:

This fiction is copyrighted to its respective author, and is no way afiliated with LucasArts or LucasFilm This story is for entertainment purposes only and no money exchanged hands. No copyright infringement is intended. The original characters, situations, and story are the property of the author. This story may not be posted elsewhere without the consent of the author.
